This charger goes 'FAULT' (refusing to charge) very quickly on many of my older batteries which charge well in my smarter Tenergy brand charger. If I only had this charger, I would have to throw away 20% of my batteries, which seems to mean that even if you start with new batteries, after a few years they will not be able to be recharged. A lot of us use batteries because we *don't* want to throw batteries in the trash. Conclusion: It works, but it is too quick to declare a battery unusable or defective.
