My husband installed this drain to replace the old brass drain in our master bathroom. The only difficulty he had was getting the old one out, but the instructions that came with this item were very helpful. The drain we replaced was a pivoting type with a narrow protruding handle. So if you accidentally stepped on it or, God forbid, sat on it, expect serious pain. The protruding part of this new drainage is so much wider that imminent pain is no longer a problem. As I get older, I really appreciate not having to bend down into our very deep tub to open and close the drain. A soft (but not too soft) toe poke works great. This is a great design and I will definitely buy it again.
