I originally bought this as a candle warmer to melt the wax and spread the scent not to burn candles. This method extends the life of the candle, dissipates odors incredibly well, and I don't have to worry about candle smoke ruining my ceilings and walls. I use a standard 3 wick Bath and Body candle which is the perfect size. I love that it has an auto shut off feature so I don't have to worry about forgetting to turn it off every night. The only thing I wish the cable was longer. Plus, it's PERFECT for warming up candles. I will buy another one for the second floor of my house. LOVE IT!
