The tuner sensitivity was sufficient to pick up my local ASTC stations in my area with a loop antenna. The reception was much better on the second floor of my apartment because the UHF frequencies were drowned out by building materials. Only one TV station ran on VHF, which was also very well received. Haven't tried the rabbit ears antenna which I assumed would be better for VHF frequencies. PAD TV software. I found two main issues, the first being that the USB-C connector was TOO SHORT to plug into a phone jack (Samsung S10+) with a protective case. I then had to remove the case to complete the evaluation. So I would get a USB-C adapter (male/female) with a longer plug. The second issue mentioned in several reviews was with the PAD TV software. Overall, the software's interface wasn't intuitive and didn't work well. With the antenna connected, I had to start the application manually, while I expected it to start automatically along with the antenna. The PAD TV software or tuner remembered the last TV channel. But I got tired of having to reconfigure the aspect ratio every time. All HD programs were in aspect ratio (16:9) so I didn't understand why that wasn't the default. Manufacturer:-------------------------1) Provide a longer USB-C connector. 2) Fix the damn program.
