Defective. It couldn't work (programmed) to unlock the car, but it did work to ignite. I had to get in the car, I didn't need an extra engine key (can be bought cheaply). I didn't choose this lightly, did some research and used the tool available at Revain to find something that would work for my machine, still no guarantee it will work properly. Be aware, I got another blank key (at the same time, from a different seller) for the same purpose (so I'm more likely to get one that works), had the opposite problem, opened the doors but didn't work the motor . .
