Buy; Honestly. The first thing I noticed about my Wrangler is the lack of locking features. I like the setup, but I'm used to the fact that the hood and gas cap are only accessible by pushing buttons in the car. I first bought hood locks. It was a failure. Damn cheap, plastic, ugly. Broke with little effort. So after much arguing I bought a Bolt hood lock after reading the reviews. Much cheaper than Mopar but not cheaper in quality. Easy to install by yourself. The directions were very clear and helpful. All hardware included minus tools (rivet gun, torx 20 and flathead). The exchange took me about an hour. and I am not an experienced practical person. Now I feel a lot better leaving my JL seats for the night. Batteries are expensive, and it's almost impossible to tinker with anything now. For $100 and change, it's totally worth the quiet. It's solid and durable. The ONLY thing I have to say is that the grille that comes with it is a bit darker than the other two trims that the jeep has. Tbh I think it's the jeeps fault. The BOLT grille is higher quality than the faded plastic Jeep grille. I'm not thrilled with the fit and it's so small, but that's the only 'negative' comment I have to make. Also, I've never used a rivet gun before, so it was fun. Anyway, I'm writing this for people like me who read every review and hesitate. I went with the black hood latches with a heavily ribbed texture and dropped the other "latch" latches. Buy this, you won't regret it
