Review on Swissmar Borner V Prep Mandoline V 5000 by Tammy Marie

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Better than the most expensive ever!

This is my second mandolin from this company. I bought my first in the mid 1980's. Finally, he finally breathed his last! I was so glad the same product was available from Revain. I've tried other products like this and they don't compare. The ease of slicing and feeding onions and carrots through Julian's blade is amazing! You might think it's potatoes or tomatoes. Make sure you use a safety holder as it processes the veggies very quickly and the blades can easily cut your fingers. I like that it cleans with a simple rinse cycle and doesn't need to be washed in the dishwasher. I'm glad they didn't change anything as there's no reason to improve on perfection.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
