Don't grumble about the sidewalls, will you? They have a lot of strength. Rubber could be a soft material, but the sidewalls make the difference. The wheels are not concerned about being scratched or punctured in any way. Once, I was riding a bicycle when I caught a self-tapping screw, and the wheel was blown off only when the screw came loose, but other than that, everything was alright.
