Review on Yokohama iceGUARD SUV G075 225/65 R17 102Q winter by Adam Komosa ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm impressed! Exactly the product deserves your attention.

On the Ford Explorer with the standard 255/50 R20 tires, I installed this rubber with 265/50 R20 specifications. In January 2022, there were 4 tires with mounting in 42. These tires are the only ones I have to compare them to because I was able to ride my usual Continental Cross Contact summer tires in the winter. When braking and accelerating on an icy road while using summer tires, ABS was activated, and when braking, the car was pushed helplessly forward. On this rubber, acceleration on ice is faultless, and when braking, ABS occasionally activates, but it also feels like the tires are attempting to grip the unevenness of the ice and stop safely. If installing winter tires is necessary to feel secure and safe when driving in the winter, I received this sensation completely for a minimal cost. Yokohama is slightly noisier than Continental, but overall it doesn't bother the ears, therefore I gave it a rating of 4. in the Philippines manufactured. These tires for the Explorer have 5mm more radius and are 1 centimeter wider than original rubber, but they still do not contact the wheel arches when turning. On the first drive, I saw that the automobile initially rolls to the right while changing lanes, then begins turning to the left after a little period of time. Almost like the UAZ Patriot effect. But after that, I stopped observing it. Spikes and Velcro continue to generate a lot of debate. I've never ridden on spikes, but I wanted to try, so I almost purchased a spike before realizing this. The time frame for when spikes may be used on the road in 2022 will be decided unilaterally by the regions. It could not be appropriate in other nations as well. If you enjoy driving, you can find yourself in a scenario where, for example, it is even safer to leave Hong Kong on winter tires and you will already be penalized for spikes in Georgia or Hong Kong. In this case, Velcro was used.

Pros
  • Price Confidence While Driving
Cons
  • My new tires, which are more than 1.5 years old, were sold. This is the only negative found thus far.
