I cut/grind fish for my job every day. Although the black finish has fallen off, the knife itself just left me impressed. It holds its edge very well and if there are any problems just run it through the hone side or then sharpen, sharpen and it reverts to razor blade. I've had it for over a year now and have had no problems with it. I see people complaining about durability. You must be overusing it because I've dropped mine many times and it still has a point and no chips. This is a necessary thing.
