I didn't realize when I ordered that it was just a stupid design. They look normal and fit 2.5″ tubes and probably up to 2.75″. What's really dumb is you make a product that fits a 2.5" pipe and then shut off the outlet to 2". Why? The additional ring only reduces the size of the outlet. If you don't care, or you put them on a 2" pipe, it really doesn't matter, but if you're intentionally increasing your exhaust pipe to 2.5", why would you use them? So I didn't want to send them back so I took a dremmel and sanded two spot welds to expose the center ring. It then took me some time to compress the inner ring without damaging the outer shell of the exhaust pipe. As you can see in the picture the right one has been removed and the hole is now 2.5" and does not restrict my pipes. I personally think the extra ring looks silly, like sticking a tailpipe nozzle onto another pipe. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't order them for myself but I can modify them to work for me but not everyone will do that. The price is cheap. So if you don't bother, it's not bad, just not what I expected or wanted. The reason I set the adjustment stars so low is because I have to remove these rings if you just want to tighten them, they're pretty easy to install with basic hand tools.
