Review on 🏠 Insulsure AT-2 Attic Tent - 25 x 54 x 7 inch Insulation Cover by Major Lindsay

Great product, pays off!

I have a 100 year old house and the attic is right above our thermostat. The entire hallway and wing of the house was 5-8 degrees colder than the rest of the house. In addition, the attic is right next to the cold air return for our stove. Until I closed the attic, the stove never stopped working, and besides, the temperature in the house kept dropping. The cold air recirculation basically pulled cold air out of the leaking attic door and the entire hallway stayed cold, so the thermostat never registered a temperature rise in the house. A top tip before ordering: Measure first! Not every hole is perfect and I had to modify it a bit to fit the opening. When pasting, follow all the tips in it. I bought a can of styrofoam insulator ($4 at Big Box Store) and sealed everything around the hole. I also bought some good quality caulk and ran a solid line around the hole before stapling everything together. The better the sealer, the better it will affect your home. After installation, I immediately noticed the difference. The house can be kept warm, and the hallway and wing of the house where there is an attic opening are kept at about the same temperature as the rest of the house. When I go to the attic, the difference between our living space and the attic is day and night. In our house it was about 74 degrees inside and when I went to work in the attic the temperature in there was almost 100 degrees. If you have access to the attic, make sure you install one of these. It will pay off over time. Great product, great quality! One last tip: to really increase the effect, cut out some fiberglass felt and attach it to the top of the case, this will increase the case's insulating properties.
