We ordered this about a week ago as a replacement for another puzzle-type bowl. The material seems durable and it is a challenge for our dog to eat out of this bowl, which was the point. I would say it works better than the last bowl we had. My only negative would be that the bowl is shallow. I suppose that adds to the difficulty for the dog because it keeps tight little spaces. I don't know if this would work for a large dog. Our dog eats about 2/3 cup of dry food, plus some wet mixed in. That fills the bowl about 90%. If you're feeding a big dog, you'd need something larger. Overall, this bowl seems of quality, and it's doing a great job slowing down our aggressive eater.
