Blum hinges fit perfectly into the slots of the standard 1/2 inch hinges they have replaced. The hinges have a light gray switch between light (0) and heavy (1) dampening Sides of a cabinet door hinge. If you mount two hinges on a door, you can choose between strong damping, two light damping, or one strong and one light damping to change the closing speed of the cabinet door. I have attached a close-up of the hinge to position 0 to check. After changing the hinge setting, close the cabinet door once to allow the hinge to adjust the damping. The hinges are packaged in a small cardboard box with cap screws in a plastic bag. The hinges did not move in the package but all hinges worked properly and were not damaged on arrival.
