Clean Before Using good for me

The Naye Pruning Shears are a nice little set of shears for thin branches and stems. I am disregarding the fact that these are supposed to be ratcheting shears because the blade thickness tells me that just isn't going to work out well. For trimming ordinary house plants and bedding plants, these are perfect. I did trim some thinner diameter tree branches out of curiosity and they did fine. However, I would definitely not get these with the idea of using them exclusively for yours trees. You'd do much better with a set of loppers for that. They arrived a bit oily which isn't a big deal. I cleaned them up and they began to get little rust spots after. Again, not a big deal. So far the rust hasn't spread. I suspect they were oiled to keep this from happening but I'm not a fan of using sharp objects which are a bit slippery.Overall, they get 4 stars for their excellent abilities with smaller plants.

Cons
  • The knife may be too bulky for some users to handle comfortably
