I use this to measure salt, magnesium and liquid chemicals. I highly recommend this scale and am a bit shocked at the low price considering how well made it is and how well it works. You start with the bowl on the scale, turn it on and it resets to zero so the bowl isn't included in the weight. They can weigh in pounds or grams and it's very delicate. Since you can put everything on it and switch it on with zero, I also use my Erlenmeyer flask instead of a beaker to measure liquids. The scale is made of stainless steel, has a beautiful display and is easy to use. So far it has withstood more abuse than in the kitchen and I keep it in my garage exposing it to a lot of chemicals. I am very happy with this purchase!
