I like it but the instructions are not very good.

I bought this for my f350 dual battery diesel. I've had a few issues with mice chewing on cords or hoses and have installed several rodent repellers which seem to work but are draining the battery. I was debating whether to install the charger under the hood or in the garage. It's a pretty hostile environment under the hood, and I wasn't too keen on plugging 120VAC into the truck, assuming a mouse would chew through that cord and it would destroy all the fancy electronics in the car. I decided to install it in the garage and bought some extensions from the link in Revain. I connected the supplied wires to the batteries and carefully routed them through the engine bay so they exit at the same point as the connector for the engine block heater. Every night it is very easy to connect the plugs together and then turn on the charger. In the instructions there were warnings about connecting the charger to the battery and turning on the charger. Not sure what works if you do it differently. Actually I only have a problem with the instructions. The instructions for use are as thick as a Bible. However, don't be afraid of it. Instructions are available in almost every language in the world. I think the English part is about 4 or 5 pages. They don't explain very well what all the lights on this thing mean. They should be recycled. It seems to work, but to be honest I'm not sure what all the indicators mean, even after reading the instructions for a while. All in all I am satisfied and would buy more.
