For years I have seen an identical product in traditional seed catalogs for almost $30. For $13.70. it was the real deal. More importantly - it really works! I've read some concerns about it being blocked or not working properly. It seems to me that this is the result of putting a large number of grains in the feeder at once. I've used a variety of hand trimmers and have found that many bean pods are too limp to feed easily when you push them through. This device stretches the beans. Problem solved! I want the clip to be wider than 1.25" since I need to attach it to a cutting board and not our countertop. But the device works so efficiently that it's a minor inconvenience.
