Review on Fujifilm XF100-400mm F4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Telephoto Lens by Paula Ward

Outstanding telephoto lens

This lens is outstanding. Paired with my X-T3, it focuses very accurately in most situations. The level of detail is impressive, comparable to my previous Canon 100-400 Mark II which is also an excellent lens. No obvious chromatic aberrations were noticed. Playback is very beautiful. The image stabilizer works very well. I don't miss the canon version at all; It's just as good and even better in some ways. I would like the zoom to be tighter and/or have a friction adjustment or blocking. The existing lock only works on 100 mm. In most cases this is not a problem. I can handle this. The hood lock is great. It's easy to put on and take off and stays securely in place. The lens ring is removed manually. I would like the leg to be larger at the collar so it can be used as a handle. The 77mm filter is common and useful. The lens cap is also well made. But beware of the seller. My copy was clearly used, although it was sold as new and Revane refused to do anything but return it. The management was dirty and run down. The lens was covered in dust that you don't normally see on a new lens. Since my specimen is sharp and well focused, I decided to keep it to myself. I don't mind used lenses, but I don't believe in paying new prices for them, so I probably won't buy lenses from Revain again, and I certainly will never buy from this customer. I no longer see this buyer on the list, so they may have received complaints similar to mine.
