Excellent telephoto zoom lens

Compared with expensive lenses on the market, this lens is more affordable. It's not heavy, it's the largest and heaviest XF lens Fujifilm has to offer. He really draws attention. It's strong but not as heavy as comparable Canon and Nikon lenses. I am very happy with the clarity and image quality. The focus ring is a little tight, probably because it's new. I wish it could focus closer than about five feet. However, I get great bokeh with this lens. The image stabilization allows me to hold the

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Poor performance

I've been using this lens for almost a year, mostly shooting wildlife. I feel the lens is very sharp out to 350mm, with softness increasing as I zoom in. I limit my zoom use to around 370mm. Sometimes I'll zoom to maximum and zoom back out because I feel like I'm getting a better crop than a full 400mm. There isn't much choice at these focal lengths, so you'll just have to live with your aperture and shoot more shots. sveta The Fujifilm camera's autofocus is still a bit weak in lower light…

Outstanding telephoto lens

This lens is outstanding. Paired with my X-T3, it focuses very accurately in most situations. The level of detail is impressive, comparable to my previous Canon 100-400 Mark II which is also an excellent lens. No obvious chromatic aberrations were noticed. Playback is very beautiful. The image stabilizer works very well. I don't miss the canon version at all; It's just as good and even better in some ways. I would like the zoom to be tighter and/or have a friction adjustment or blocking. The…

Fuji zoom king. Works great with my X-E3!

At first I had a 55-200mm and it seemed like an excellent zoom lens. But I was curious how much better this 100-400mm lens could be. Yes, double the focal length, but is it really more? Unfortunately for my 55-200mm lens, I never touched my 55-200mm lens again after getting this 100-400mm lens. More coverage and more detail, better colors and just better photos opened up a new world for me (for example I was able to take a photo of an eagle sitting in a tree and see all its feathers and great…

were generally good to excellent

I thought a lot before purchasing this lens. Reviews, including those on YouTube, were generally good to excellent, but nothing superlative. There have been many complaints about the weight. Since I have an X PRO 2 with an extra handle, I wasn't sure about the ergonomics of the handle. In addition, the lens was expensive. I ended up taking the plunge and buying it. The lens is big but the weight isn't an issue as I thought. It is surprisingly easy to hold in hand. I place the flat bottom of the

Good value for money, I recommend.

I have something to compare with: Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM, canon 100-400mm first and second versions. Of all these, Fujik is the sharpest and fastest lens. The picture is perfect at all focal lengths, detailing with the X-T3 is perfect, autofocus is fast and accurate. It is not entirely clear why he is so healthy. Its full-frame counterparts are even smaller, but here the crop is so huge. A little hard to carry. Well, it costs a little higher than its competitors, only Sony is…
