This clamp has been used for several thousand miles and increased their 'social status'. a heavy SUV. It still works flawlessly and keeps the back stiff and quiet. It has been removed and reinstalled countless times and I found a few new nuts and lock washers, the only parts showing corrosion/wear. Initially I thought $18 was too much for the glorified U-bolt; However, written off in the last four years, it was worth it, even at twice the price. Unless I'm careless and leave it lying around somewhere, I see no point in ever buying one again.
