Review on ๐Ÿถ Petrainer Rechargeable and Rainproof 330 yd Remote Dog Training Collar with Beep, Vibration, and Static Stimulation - Enhanced for SEO by Tammy Formigoni

Revainrating 5 out of 5

design error! - Dogs

This e-collar was great. It helped a lot to train our pup. He's a hunting breed, and when he smelled the scent, it didn't draw his attention. The beep in his ear was enough to break his concentration and make him listen to our commands. And so on until the collar is worn out. The cheap collar lost its structure and began to wrinkle. As a result, the actual electronic component of this collar slipped off easily. This is probably because of how you have to unplug them to charge them. This is the main design flaw. I'm disappointed we can't use this anymore. I suppose if this shortcoming were fixed I would consider purchasing an upgrade. ***UPDATE*** After I wrote this review, the company contacted me. They stated that the collar and device had been updated and repaired and offered me a brand new one for free. I was pleased! Excellent customer service! Everything was great, we got a new collar, now it's made of durable plastic. This solved the problem of the foldable nylon collar. The actual device that sits around your dog's neck is now smaller too. Both are great! The remote control has been redesigned and now has separate buttons for the beep, vibrate and shock. I liked this feature. What I don't like about the remote is that you control the intensity of vibrations and bumps with a dial located in the corner of the remote. This dial is VERY easy to accidentally adjust in your pocket. Therefore, you MUST check that it hasn't moved before using it. It's a bug, but not a deal breaker. What's a deal breaker is the fact that this new collar has virtually no range. It says 300 meters. NO WAY. The old collar definitely had better range. It covered our entire garden. This one isn't even half of it. For this reason I cannot change my rating. We will probably buy a more expensive e-collar from another brand. Unfortunately, in this case you get what you pay for and no more.

Pros
  • Electronic training collars
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
