The GOOACC LED Light Bar, 42-inches wide and optimally delivering 240-watts at 12-vdc or 24-vdc, certainly impressed me with its broad side beam LEDs and the larger center-focused spotlight LEDs. Priced at a very budget ($95.00) when I reviewed it, and based on my performance tests, I certainly felt it to be a good value. And as for after-sale support, there is a two year vendor's warranty included. Had you not thought about it, you should be reminded that this is a simple ‘on & off’ controlled light bar. There are no switching options for a center spot only or side wide-angle lighting only. Your cabin switch is all on or all off; simple and to the point. The wiring….When I laid the wiring assembly on the garage floor, I could see that the common connection point was the ‘relay.’ The fused battery power line goes to the center, the switch line to one side and the output power to the other side of the relay. I should add that it’s pretty much ‘ready for install with spade-clip connectors on the lights power line, a proprietary disconnect for the switch line and brass rings for connecting the battery lines. And you can also figure out that the relay and the fused battery line will be ‘under hood mounted.’ The light has a 2-ft. leader that will get you through the sheet metal or any exterior barrier. And then you'll have the supplied ‘spade-connects’ to a 9-ft. line that goes to and terminates inside the light bar. That 9-ft. line comes out of the side of the light, facing to the back. It’s weather sealed into the light. You'll certainly have to create a water-sealed grommet pass-through to the interior of the vehicle. And if you need more than the total 11-foot ‘light to relay’ line, you can certainly add a bit more wire at the spade-clip point. I had thought that a more waterproof and secure connector than the spade clips that were supplied might be a worthwhile upgrade.Testing prior to install….In my testing of the light I temporarily put the light on the hood of my vehicle. I did run the fused battery line directly to my vehicle battery, and used the supplied switch to activate the light, as I would if it were installed. My opinion? Well, it is correct that the center LEDs are focused for spotlight utility. And on either side of the light bar, the LEDs have reflectors more for a broad-wide illumination. You’ll see the illumination pattern in my video. My opinion….As a straight forward, all-on or all-off 42” light bar, this is a fair priced and decent value large light bar. The curved shape definitely enhances its ‘broad illumination angle.’ Certainly if the curve better fits your installation, that's a bonus. I felt the light bar could mount on any surface if done properly and securely. I’m confident that I’ll be able to create ‘quick install and removal hardware’ such that I might use this as a ‘temporary’ light, either on my work vehicle or on my freshwater boat. And as for illumination and brightness testing, I felt this light bar delivered. It tested very bright.
