My truck runs like factory

For starters I have a '98 Chevy K1500 with a 5.7 liter Vortec engine with 214,000 miles on it. I've been using Quaker State Full Synthetic 5W-30 with this oil filter since owning a truck. Now my truck runs like fresh from the factory. I was curious as to why this happened so I sent an oil sample to Blackstone Labs. In the meantime, let me tell you what I found when I changed the oil. Currently, I religiously change the oil every 3000 miles. I know full synthetics can last a lot longer, but I have really rough riding conditions and an old engine and I want it to run like new. The oil always looks good when I change it and I recently cut the filter in half to see what it looks like inside (see the youtube video for more on this) and I found a filter that does the job did just as well as needed. Dirt got into the filter as it should and the filter obviously still worked fine. Let's get back to the lab results for oil. You were perfect. There wasn't a single category that Blackstone felt fell outside of the average measurements. To be honest I will never go back to any other oil filter or brand of oil as the results speak for themselves. Although this filter costs a little more than Fram, I would pay 5x more for it than any other just for the quality and results achieved. I will be buying these a lot more often as they are all I use and I would highly recommend this product.
