Feels very heavy and large but is well made. The only problem I have is that the collar almost never stays in the clip, so it's always hanging down. I think if I curled it up a bit it would snap better. These collars are strong, which emphasizes the weak point of the collar. Because everything is so riveted and strong, the weak point is in the buckle where the pin goes through the collar hole. My pup ran the length of her tie chasing a squirrel, after which the collar broke and flew off the dog entirely. I contacted the seller and he immediately sent a replacement with no questions asked so at least they support their product. I love the feel and look of the collar and would buy it again. A broken collar is more like a feral puppy trying to stalk its prey to the point where it doesn't care that the leash is only tied so far. It was a lot of force, I'm not sure how many collars could withstand that sudden strong push.
