They are designed in Germany and made there or in the Czech Republic and there are some nice design elements that set them apart from other brands: the finish is satin instead of polished; Hex bits and heads are convex to increase driving power; Bushings have a knurled ring to facilitate hand tightening of nuts; A small extension is a "Swing Drive" (a kind of universal adapter). All in all, this is a great tool set in a compact case. By the way, this tool set has a ratchet with a metal handle and a lever for changing the direction of movement. They also make one with an ergonomic grip and one with a through drive design, both are good but I prefer that style. there
