Unexpectedly. in Power and Hand Tools

Far from the quality I expected judging from the numerous positive reviews on the market. Slightly scratched, rough ratchet and thin plastic parts.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Modernity

Great little set, ergonomic design

This was perfect for my 1/4 ratchet. I have already used it for car interiors and furniture assembly. Prices are a bit high considering it's made in the Czech Republic, but the quality is still there.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Best quality for everyday tools.

This is Wera, so the quality is right. I wish it came with a 9mm jack too, but if you buy it separately it can "live" on the end of a short extension cord and never get lost. All of my hand tools that could be Wera are being replaced because they are just more comfortable to use.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • small details

Quality, quality, quality

Wera makes good stuff and this little socket set is no exception. The heads are great quality but what really impresses me is the quality of the drive bits. There are many cheap screwdrivers that are only good for a few uses, but Wera screwdrivers are high quality and really durable. IMHO a very good investment.

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
  • Available in white only

Compact socket set design

Very compact and well thought out portable set. It's always frustrating when certain socket sizes are skipped because I always need them. However, 9mm and 14mm have been added à la carte to this set and should now be all inclusive. The "matte" finish is different from other brands and scratches easily. I don't care cosmetically but am interested in its durability and corrosion resistance compared to a Hazet or Gedore finish. Nice thin tooth and long ratchet lever.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities

You won't know what you're missing until you try

I'm a keen do-it-yourselfer and I also like looking for bargains. I have quite a large selection of different instruments and they all seem to be about the same quality. The main difference I see with rosettes is how they indicate size: painted (which can be removed with solvents), laser engraved, or stamped. Neither has ever been a problem for me, so I usually aim for 6 points so the fasteners can be squeezed with a little more confidence. I first used a Wera screwdriver when an engineer came…

Pros
  • . Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • poorly thought out

One of the best toolboxes I've ever used.

Some of us in the USA have always had access to quality tools. I still have a decent collection of American instruments in excellent condition. From time to time I like to watch what other people are doing. This WERA set is almost equivalent to Snap On and corresponds to Facom, another very popular tool manufacturer. More affordable than the excellent Japanese Koken. Anyone who earns their living with tools can be proud to own WERA tools. I would not recommend lending these tools to others. It…

Pros
  • Extremely thin long lever ratchet
Cons
  • I will add later

They are designed in Germany and made there or in the Czech Republic and there are some nice design elements that set them apart from other brands: the finish is satin instead of polished; Hex bits and heads are convex to increase driving power; Bushings have a knurled ring to facilitate hand tightening of nuts; A small extension is a "Swing Drive" (a kind of universal adapter). All in all, this is a great tool set in a compact case. By the way, this tool set has a ratchet with a metal handle…

Pros
  • Very strong with no torque limit
Cons
  • Long delivery time

First of all I like the quality and craftsmanship of Wera Tools but this small set is very compact with a nice satin finish and pretty cool overall. I wanted something small, attractive, well made and compact that I could easily carry in my glove box to keep handy or slip into my purse when needed. Thing, I think it's a good compact set for your wife, girlfriend, daughter or anyone else if they don't have a small handy set for things. If they are unfamiliar with its use, teach them. I like…

Pros
  • Hex-Plus allows longer life of socket head screws
Cons
  • No power
