I have a 1950 Chevrolet 3100 truck and I replaced the oil filled air filter with this one thinking it would be easier to service. After 3 months my pickup truck was acting strange and suddenly died from me. I couldn't start it and shut off the engine. When trying to figure out the problem, I removed the air filter from the carburetor and suddenly the truck ran great. So. the air filter which is only 3 months old was choking the engine and it didn't even look that dirty. I immediately changed the 8 year old oil from the old filter and put it back in an engine that has lasted 65 years! quickly clogged.
