Review on Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Fixed Lens - Discontinued by Manufacturer by A Phichet Seedok ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm happy with it, the price and the quality, I recommend to buy it.

For its price, a very decent lens, the fact that you have to turn the focus wheel is even useful for the photographer, you can’t always rely on technology. It is convenient that the lens is compact and lightweight, complete with 60d the whole structure weighs little and fits comfortably in the hand. A good aperture allows you to shoot completely in dark rooms, however, in such a situation there is not enough stabilizer, but if you are not drunk at 1/25, you can shoot, although it is better, of course, to raise the ISO higher so that there are no bugs. Such a thing is very convenient, it takes up little space when carried, it is light, so it will not be superfluous to buy it. Of course, comparing with 1.4 is stupid, but I believe that the price / quality ratio here is in favor of the price of 1.8.

Pros
  • Price. Beautiful soap, light weight. Although the trunk moves out, the lens is set deep. Good aperture
Cons
  • Plastic bayonet. Autofocus does not work with it at all, you have to turn the wheel, which, by the way, is also not very convenient, but you get used to it over time. You will also have to get used to the fact that it is fixed, but here it is a matter of experience and you will get used to it.
