Review on Install Gauge 1600 Value Complete by Darrell Beecher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not as pictured, but a nice kit

Overall this is a great kit with one important caveat: the kit that Revain is showing here is not what you will get. The kit Revain is showing is the AK04. This kit is no longer in production and has been replaced by the AK4. There are two main differences: The kit they currently sell does NOT include speaker wire. However, it does contain a mini ANL fuse box, not the old-school AGU fuse box. The fuse box that you get in this kit is extremely compact and allows for easy installation. I can get speaker cable anywhere for a very low price so it doesn't matter so I consider it a scam. Basic Summary: Power and Ground Cables: Beautiful appearance with an attractive matte finish. Both have ring ports, so that's kind of nice. Ready to just hop in the car. Remote Guide: It's there when you use it. A lot of people don't worry that many amps have auto-on these days. Nothing to say. It's just the primary line. RCA: A little cheap, but they'll do the job. The DS-18 (available as an add-on from Revain) produces twisted pair RCAs at a very reasonable price, and they far outperform them in every way. If you need more RCA plugs, attach them to this set for your multi-channel amplifier. All you need is a grommet, some spade lugs, and zip ties. Uh, whatever. Basically you buy this for the power cord, RCA and fuse box. You must add speaker wire to your purchase. It's nothing special, but for a very low price I think it's a good deal.
