I've used yellow pads for years with no problems. We recently bought a truck that requires me to use the sliding clutch a lot more often. I decided it was time to invest in some sturdy pads to work with the trailer brakes for hitch slippage and give me more confidence when parking at some of the state parks we visit. I wish I could bring those years back now. The only downside is the extra weight of the pads and it's a small price to pay for my wife to give me extra security!
