Review on Motorcycle Waterproof Speaker Amplifier System by Bennie Wilks

I bought this and installed it on a 2006 Harley Heritage Softail Classic. I waited a few weeks before writing a review just in case. I use my bike every day when I commute to work, so after a few weeks it was comfortable to hop on and bang on. Delivery was FAST, ordered on Monday the Saturday before the bank holiday and received on Wednesday. Installation took about 3.5 hours, some of which included rewiring to my liking. I screwed the booster to the frame behind the front wheel and attached the cables to the frame with cable ties. The included wiring harness worked like a champ. I routed the wires from it and the wires from the USB charger through some sort of corrugated insulation under the gas tank. Definitely going the USB charger backup route which made it simple and easy. I haven't used the MP3 player holder that came with it, I have nowhere to put it, and I'm not sure I would trust it to stay on my device. I bought a separate mount and it works great. I have some issues with the volume control, it goes from soft to full to loud. It works for me, but maybe not for someone else. I had no problem hearing hum or buzz like some of the reviews I read. I also didn't notice any crackling or distortion when using the USB charger and playing music. LOUD system! I have real Vance and Hines duals (loud whistles) and I can listen to music at 75 mph (speakers behind the windshield). Things that prevented me from getting 5 stars: - The appearance of the speakers leaves a lot to be desired. It looks like something is missing in the middle. - The volume control is not very good. - Instructions are a waste of time. It was fun installing it and even more fun listening to some of the tunes while driving.
