Review on πŸ“ VISLONE Dual Purpose Woodworking Measuring Tool for Multi-functional Use by Jay Matlock

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Almost a winner but loses in critical areas.

PRO:- It's heavy enough to keep stable when marking, but not so heavy that it's tiring to use for a long time.- The sensor body is carefully crafted, engraved and finished . The body parts have a tight fit and good knurling on the brass parts. Circlips to hold the dual bearings in place and machine screws to hold the body components together, no cheap set screws or ill-fitting body panels. find - I even looked in the foam rubber and under the flaps of the box. - There were no instructions in the box, what is the quill for, elusive scribe? - The pencil holder is a complete mess. The pen holder's brass sleeve and stamped aluminum body should have been pressed together with an interference fit, but instead they just fall apart, leaving the pen unsupported. The dimensions are too small, so the pen holder cannot be tightened in the sensor body (just fall through). GENERAL INFO: The included accessories are anything but remotely useful, fortunately a standard hobby steel knife seems to fit perfectly. , which means it works. The gauge body itself is excellent, but I would have liked to see larger brass knobs (better to grip) and a flat side milled into the bar (to keep the pencil perfectly vertical without adjustment).
