Review on Fel Pro VS50592R Valve Cover Gasket by Maurice Branch

This gasket kit is perfect for my 2000 Toyota Tundra 4.7L. It included valve cover gaskets, spark plug gaskets, and metal-coated rubber washers for the valve cover bolts. The kit also includes some other washers/rings that I didn't use. I'm not exactly sure what they are for; I just replaced the existing washers on the parts I filmed. I applied a small amount of 'Genuine Toyota Fluid 00295-00103 Molded in Place of Sump Gasket - 3 oz. Tube' to the surface of the engine where the gaskets make sharp turns and to the mating surfaces of the crescents. Check out some YouTube videos for more details. I left the valve cover gaskets in the sun for a few minutes before pressing them into the valve covers and then reinstalled everything. They fit perfectly and don't leak. The hardest part of the job was removing the old spark plug gaskets. The tops came off quickly, so after trying several other methods, I finally gently tapped between the valve cover and gasket with a small screwdriver to loosen them, then used a thicker screwdriver to wiggle it just enough/ twist so I could get the pliers. and pull it out. Make sure you install the spark plug gaskets in the right direction - the hole is slightly narrower and you will need the narrower end at the top of the spark plug's metal tube.
