I have about 28 feet of magnetic bars in my garage now. Mix of all sizes except 6", this size hasn't been used yet. 28ft is probably too much, but now I use it for everything. Drills, blades, tools, hammers, crowbars. You get the idea. I don't miss it No more rummaging through drawers and toolboxes to find something. Even the smallest detail has a place that's easy to find and (perhaps more importantly) recognizable when it's not hidden. Fastening hardware is junk. Make one yourself Fall and buy the right gear I pre-drilled the holes and even with an impact wrench and the right size bit the pan head screws that came were still a nightmare I installed them on 3/4 Baltic birch plywood The spacing between the... So mounting holes wasn't a problem for me, but if you're trying to mount them directly to walls I would recommend at least using trim strips. I wouldn't trust drywall anchors. The magnet strength is perfect. Not too much, easy to remove tools. But not too small, even small items (drills) stay in place well, it is well balanced for different items big or small. I had no problems with objects slipping or falling. Overall I'm very happy with it. I just wish I had more space to install more of these.
