At the end of an English or History lesson, we often have a few minutes left before the lesson is over. This is a great game to grab everyone's attention while keeping their minds busy and making them think. We're playing "Blurt Baseball": Ask the first student to stand behind the second student's chair - both are "UP". Read the question and give them 10 seconds to answer. If one of them has the correct answer, they move to the next student chair and then "UP" for the next question. However, if none of them gives a correct answer within ten seconds, everyone can answer. The one who gives the correct answer moves behind the third student's chair, and they're "UP". A sea of fun and laughter! I use this with elementary and high school students.
