Review on ๐Ÿš— Metra 95-7309 Double DIN Installation Kit: Fit 1995-2006 Hyundai Vehicles by Isaac Samal

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Keep looking for an install kit. it is not a place or a product.

This isn't the first time I've used Metra mounting kits. But this is the last. Flimsy puts it mildly. The fact that none of the mounting hole combinations are used is not surprising. I had similar problems with a Dodge Charger. This kit did not fit the dbl din locator screw holes in two rows. It also left the gear ratio hidden in the dash with a huge gap around it, exposing the wiring. Probably due to the lack of holes in the side panels that matched the Kenwood radio. The bracket broke within the first week of use and I spent over 5 hours fabricating the front panel in oak and the metal side panels in aluminium. Cheapness in this case is more than the description of the product. Shoddy would be more accurate. When contacting technical support, they could not identify the cause of problems with the quality of the product. As for the missing gear in the kit, I was offered to go to Lowes and buy what I need. I should have known this would be an issue due to the previous charger fiasco. I can't rate this product well because it doesn't match the car or the radio. I think they should make some of these kits that fit. They definitely don't fit Hyundai and the wiring code doesn't match the factory code. Installation took over a week and I only used 4 screws to attach the bezel. Very expensive screws!
