2004 Hyundai Santa Fe with Monsoon

I used this kit to install a second radio (double din touch screen). I only used one or two parts from the kit but it worked. Holes perfectly match the car

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Functionality

Does what it's supposed to do

I bought this for a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe. He holds on to the radio without getting involved in anything. All screw holes match perfectly. It's plastic so don't expect high quality.

Pros
  • also understandable for the old model
Cons
  • Legacy

Not for every electric

I bought this for a 2006 Santa Fe Two Din Boss system. The holes in the kit did not match the system allowing it to be installed. I ended up using mounting hardware from the system itself.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • There are downsides

Sometimes an aperture is not necessary.

Great product but the 2002 Santa Fe doesn't need this bezel and doesn't even work. The decorative strip does not return to its place when the bezel is used. The only thing I used were the side brackets that are needed. My factory brackets didn't fit my new stereo.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Weight

Will not fit 2002-2006 Santa Fe.

Tried to install on my 05 Hyundai Santa Fe does not fit. Started with only the side mounts and looked at the original Monsoon radio. It turned out well, but now I have a few unused parts. UPDATE: Returning this item and purchasing from American International HYNK1119. There used to be AI with a DIN and it fitted perfectly.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Some problems

Fits, with accessories

The product claims to fit my 03 Santa Fe, but that's not entirely true. When installed this kit sits wide in the dash creating a hole about 1" deep which looks ridiculous. I ended up breaking off some plastic pieces and glued them under the studs to slide the kit onto the front of the dash. Looks pretty good now, but be aware that this item doesn't work very well.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Hyundai SUV Installation Kit

My girlfriend recently bought a 2005 Hyundai SUV. As a present I decided to buy her a radio for her car. I bought all the electronics from amazon.com. The 95-7309 installation kit I purchased was the first of its kind. I install as a hobby and I have noticed that the unit that came with me is very easy to install. The instructions that come with the block are full of instructions. detailed except for 4 screws and their installation locations. It showed me which parts of the kit I would beโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Running Speed

This was my first car stereo installation. After reading this guide I still don't understand how these brackets support the radio. I asked for advice on a car forum and most people found the instructions pretty clear - I think I needed more illustrations to understand the installation process. Essentially you take two side brackets and insert them into the faceplate such that the brackets are perpendicular to the faceplate and the hole of the machine is connected. Insert your new stereo systemโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Can't remember

Keep looking for an install kit. it is not a place or a product.

This isn't the first time I've used Metra mounting kits. But this is the last. Flimsy puts it mildly. The fact that none of the mounting hole combinations are used is not surprising. I had similar problems with a Dodge Charger. This kit did not fit the dbl din locator screw holes in two rows. It also left the gear ratio hidden in the dash with a huge gap around it, exposing the wiring. Probably due to the lack of holes in the side panels that matched the Kenwood radio. The bracket broke withinโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • A long time ago
