I saw enough laudatory reviews for this glass, I bought it - I bought it. I use Nikon D800. Disappointment from the first photos, sharpness just has to be milked like a cow in graphic editors, there is no contrast, a pale pattern all over the field. For a night photo, even less, but again there is no sharpness. I had a Nikkor 50 1.8d - itβs really better and the nuts on the bokeh didnβt bother me, sharper, cheaper. I adapted 50 1.4D for ID photos, but it showed itself not in the best way there too - too much post-processing. In short, I sold it, I donβt regret it a bit, I bought SIGMA 50 1,4 DG, itβs just a fairy tale compared to this lens. Had experience with other lenses of the old "D" series, none impressed. Conclusion - lenses of the last century - pampering for prof. works and advanced amateurs are no good. For beginners and experimenters, that's it! By the way, the lens is sold without a hood, and which is sold for it is completely rubber, how did he break it? (read in one review)
