Review on 🔧 Toyota Genuine Gaskets 90915 YZZD3 and 90430 12031 by Dave Sidhu

This "D3" filter is normally paired with Tundras, but on the advice of a Toyota mechanic I've used them on 5VZ-FE engines for which they're just right. They are slightly longer than the "D1" filter so you get a little more filtering. They work well and, with regular replacement, allow these engines to travel hundreds of thousands of kilometers. The addition of oil pan gaskets is a good thing so you don't have to look for them. Do not overtighten either the filter or the oil pan bolt. For 5VZ-FE FSM specification: 29 ft.lbs (drain plug) and finger tight plus 3/4 turn (filter).
