I would recommend purchasing an extended warranty if possible. I used it every day when I first got it and it worked great. Am I really happy with the investment or is it a very versatile device? However, after about three weeks I tried to turn it on and the lights started flashing (meaning it's not ready to use). This usually indicates that you blocked it incorrectly. Well it latched properly and basically the piece of plastic in the lid was broken and didn't push down on the base to put it into 'working mode'. We ended up only being able to get this back within a 5 day window so I was lucky BUT only 3 weeks of use is pretty sad. I will try to replace this and just hope the second version is better. I think this is a really powerful and useful kitchen gadget. I am really very upset that I am without him while this refund is being sorted out.
