They have to be screwed or glued with very strong glue. We did both because we bought several for our front concrete staircase with carpeting and we have an outdoor wooden staircase with carpeting on the side door. They appeared in an odd shape, obviously not straight. They didn't even try to grab her smartly - not sure if it was Revane's fault or what. It's annoying, but they're more comfortable, so we just had someone hold them while they installed. I'll take a picture of the finished product today and post it. Will be updating in a while to see if they can handle the Utah winter weather. 🤞🏻
