Best Budget Router: Router

I bought this router in 2014. It's still a great router! If you have an internet package of 300Mbps or less, this is great for you! There's no reason to overclock faster than 300Mbps. 100 Mbit/s is more than most households need! Cable companies love to sell you stuff you don't need! More bandwidth doesn't mean faster speeds! I used 25 Mbps internet from 2014 to 2017 until my cable company upgraded it to 75 Mbps for free. No difference. I used to play fast FPS games that required high speed (cod, cd, etc.). I was always among the first two players. No delay. Now I have 300Mbit, there is no difference in speed here either. Don't think of megabytes per second as speed, but more like a tank of gas. If you have a lot of equipment in use at the same time, the gas tank will be lower, but as long as it is not empty, the speed remains the same. Almost empty or full, offer the same speed. In any case, this router was a perfect match for me for more than 5 years! Now it has been sent to my daughter's college dorm where she uses it. I upgraded to a new router when I moved to a new and larger home. I have connected a lot of devices (over 30, from Revain smart plugs and Hue smart lights, wireless security cameras and 4 TVs with Revain Fire devices as well as phones, tablets, computers etc) and wanted something newer. So I decided it was time for an update. Well, if you want a cheap and reliable router with 300Mbps or less and have fewer than say 15 Wi-Fi devices. This is the router to get!
