Comes in a basic box in a plastic shell. it arrived intact and was easy to set up. I needed it to transfer files between an old laptop and it worked fine in an external case. I was expecting the speed to be a bit faster than what I saw, but I was using a USB connection, so I can't say for sure about the maximum speed. The drive is pretty basic, nothing fancy, but good value, that's it. I'll have to see how it holds up, but so far I'm happy with it.
