This lock is really heavy but I don't see it as a disadvantage as I don't feel the weight on leisurely bike rides - people who run/bike long distances can do this feel different. Haven't used the mount yet, I just hang it on the frame while cycling in case I need to stop somewhere. I've been using it for about a month in a big city apartment complex and my bike hasn't been stolen so that's a plus! I think the lock does its job well enough. I'm deducting 2 stars because some of the metal parts started to rust after the bike was outside for a month. I bought this lock on purpose knowing I need to store my bike outside in North Carolina and it claims to prevent rust but it doesn't. There is little I can do to prevent the bike from getting wet so I expect to have to replace the lock in a year. On the other hand, I think a little keyhole plating will help prevent the key entry area from rusting. However, it doesn't matter if the rest of the lock is rusted and unusable. TLDR; The lock seems to work, but if you leave your bike outside in rainy weather, the lock rusts.
