My mountain bike has a bottom that is too big to fit. Straight from the seat, the lock is just too big. I had to attach it to the top where I have a wire break so it sticks out a bit over the edge, not exactly in my trading range but not far from it. It would be smaller and a little easier if I did it again.

Just recently I locked my bike at a local college and there was an attempt to steal some bikes near the college, it was physically visible but the thief ignored my bike so full heavy lock and didn't touch it, my bike was the best of them all which is a testament to the intimidating power of the locking system

I used this to block an electric scooter. It works with some strains but not all. Find out how to use the cable to really deter thieves. The U-lock only works with high bike racks. It does not work on all scooters or all luggage racks. The U-lock body itself cracked/splintered after the first real use (see last photo). This doesn't affect its use, but the seal is clearly broken now.

This bike lock is very scary to look at and so far I haven't had any problems with it. What annoys me the most is that I couldn't find a YouTube video of the lock picking and that there is plastic in the lock case. However, the choice is not so simple. Great lock, I like the thicker bolt. My only issue is that the locking mechanism gets a bit stuck at times, usually when it's cold, but it never takes more than 10-20 seconds to unlock when it gets stuck. I would also have liked a variant of this lock with a long shackle. I've only had it for 2 weeks, I'll update if I have any other issues/recommendations. Updated 03/17/20. This lock is really heavy but I don't see it as a disadvantage as I don't feel the weight on leisurely bike rides - people who run/bike long distances can do this feel different. Haven't used the mount yet, I just hang it on the frame while cycling in case I need to stop somewhere. I've been using it for about a month in a big city apartment complex and my bike hasn't been stolen so that's a plus! I think the lock does its job well enough.
