Good lock but very heavy and difficult to attach to the bike

My mountain bike has a bottom that is too big to fit. Straight from the seat, the lock is just too big. I had to attach it to the top where I have a wire break so it sticks out a bit over the edge, not exactly in my trading range but not far from it. It would be smaller and a little easier if I did it again.
