I don't know if it's stainless steel or not.
I don't know what kind of stainless steel it is. They're silver in color but I put them next to the magnet and they stick to the magnet just like carbon steel - good stainless steel doesn't stick to magnets. They don't look like the stainless steel slippers you can buy at Home Depot or similar hardware stores, so don't be fooled. Time will tell how they react to moisture/water in my applications.
