I bought this phone holder about 6 months ago. I love it! It comes with metal plates that attach magnetically to the mount. The mount attaches to the windshield with sticky gel material and a suction cup. I used it to set my phone up for an app-based delivery service during delivery. The mount worked great for several months and held my phone securely. Once fell off after a few months of use, but after reinstalling it seems normal. And so. One afternoon in October, I got in the car and found the bracket was in the floor panel. The sticky gel material that was supposed to hold the mount to the windshield melted. melted As it melted, it dripped onto my dashboard and then onto my car stereo and media controls, rendering them unusable. When the mount fell off the windshield, it landed on the driver's seat, leaving a coin-sized grease stain on the seat. I've included a photo of the mess hanging from the windshield. I contacted Revain and they refunded me, for which I am very grateful, but this product caused irreparable damage to my car. I would not recommend this product to anyone living in the Arctic Circle. I live in North Carolina which is a bit hot but not at all like states like Texas, New Mexico, Florida, Mississippi and Alabama. cars get hot. If your product is going to be used in a vehicle, you need to provide heat. Again, I cannot recommend this product at all. Don't buy this.
