Review on πŸš— Effortlessly Restore Your Vehicle's Body with Bondo 953 Dent Puller! by Mario Haan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good puller, bad screws.

Let me start by saying that although I have done other body work using suction cups to pull dents and the like I have not had a dent puller before. Got this around the corner via the taillight of my '90 dozer truck that had no other way to get to the dent. I need to repair this dent because this metal protects the taillight from rain. The puller itself seems fine, but the screws that come with it are an issue. The trick is that you have to make a hole big enough for the screw to fit in, but small enough that it doesn't come out too quickly (you pull as many times as necessary until the hole gets bigger and the screw comes out). . So you don't want a hole that's too small, but you really don't want it to be too big. I drilled the recommended size hole and the first screw went in fine (slow electric screwdriver). The next two don't bite very well. The screws are an odd size, but the real problem is that they are made of very soft metal. As soon as you bite into the hole, the head flies out (Phillips). You don't want a hole so big that you don't have to torque it because it will just pop out quickly. You really want to tighten these screws, but that causes them to loosen. Anyway, I was able to get the dent out, but it took four holes to get it out. I found an extra screw in the box that fits and works better than the screws provided. Now I have to sand down any metal fungus in the places where the screws pulled out and then treat them with bondo and paint. a car with thin metal or in a spot without as much support as above my taillight. Check out some YouTube videos too - much easier to follow than written instructions for something like this. Even if you have any problems with your elbows, find another way - it's not easy on the body, but a strong, healthy person shouldn't have a problem.
